Dec 28, 2012 · Update: the problem appears to be solved. I no longer see Unusual Traffic messages blocking my Google searches. I uninstalled a few tweaks (also, installed a few more, but I doubt that's relevant.) So my working hypothesis is one of the tweaks I removed, had been doing automated Google queries exclusively over cell network. This traffic may have been sent by malicious software, a browser plug-in, or a script that sends automated requests. If you share your network connection, ask your administrator for help — a different computer using the same IP address may be responsible.
